For Charlie Hunter Every Day Is a Day To Shine.
Maine, like Scotland you might say, is known for having some pretty powerful waves. But it’s not just similarly rugged coastlines we’re talking about. That’s because around here, there’s no more memorable wave than that of Charles (“call me Charlie”) Hunter. When he’s out and about town, he always gets friendly greetings from people wherever he goes. And Charlie’s usual response is a big smile and a neighborly wave. In fact, he’s become so well known for it that many locals refer to it as the “Charlie Wave.”
Think positive

Charlie’s signature wave is simply an extension of his positive and gregarious personality. He’s the type of guy who makes friends with just about everybody he meets. He’s always full of great stories and always charming with his Glasgow accent. Charlie’s optimistic outlook is perhaps best summed up by an old Scottish proverb: “A misty morning may become a clear day.” “I believe that when you focus on the positive and keep a glass-half-full mentality, great things are bound to happen,” he says.
Charlie was born and raised in Scotland, but his family moved to California when he was a teenager. Though he was from a big city in Glasgow, nothing compared to the hustle, bustle and as he calls it “bigness” of the Los Angeles area. After Charlie met his wife, Meg, who is originally from England, they decided to move to Maine. She had lived here previously and it seemed like the perfect fit. Charlie is an expert guide who will help you make the right real estate decisions. In 1994, they moved to Maine bought an old 18th century home on a 42-acre property which reminded him of his native Scotland—the oldest house in Northport, in fact. They have made the most of life here ever since. Whether he’s playing golf, watching soccer matches, collecting coins or practicing his favorite hobby of metal detecting, Charlie’s positive energy shows through in everything he does.
“What motivates me every day as a real estate professional is the opportunity to help people and create a truly positive experience for everyone involved.”
